Use this roadmap to see where Lispex development is heading. For features you can use now, open the current product catalog.
For example, to find out when output handling changed, open History and read v1.20.0. To choose a product for running a program today, use Run Lispex in Your Application.
Development directions
Extend language execution
Meaning Graph represents a program's control flow and shared variables. Meaning Environment evaluates that graph. The next work builds on their v1 handling of mutation, tail calls, one-shot escapes, cleanup, and execution results.
Core IR remains the intermediate representation that resolves which variable each name refers to. See the Core IR reference for its current format.
Application evaluation
Applications can choose the decision evaluator or the separate full-profile evaluator. Both prepare rules, apply declared limits, and return structured results. Topaz calls Lispex through its evaluator adapter.
LIL and LIT completed their role in internal cross-validation. They were retired in Lispex 1.21 to reduce future maintenance costs.
Simplify execution setup
Native tools connect an explicit product inventory, installation, selection, diagnostics, measurement, and execution. Further work aims to make these tasks and installation relocation easier to use together. npm and WASM bring the same file formats and structured results into application workflows.
See Lispex Interpreter and Lispex VM for the comparisons available now.
Improve decision workflows
Decision exchange and Lispex Vouch connect source, input, recipient policy, issuer authentication, and application handoff. Work continues on making these steps easier to use while retaining their separate roles. Vouch can re-execute the recipient's request before a local decision gate. The receiving application decides and performs the final business action.
Start with the decision workspace or the Vouch guide.
Expand learning materials
The six-step Lispex course, reference manuals, Playground, and SICP course will grow together. Lessons connect program source to its result or execution record. English, Korean, and Russian documentation use consistent terms for the same concepts.
Open Learn Lispex or SICP for the current courses.
Find a released version
Roadmap work receives a version when implementation begins. History distinguishes those development checkpoints from published releases. The product catalog lists what the current release provides.
